I decided to do a black and white value study of my earlier sketch. Still not where I would like it to be as far as values and definition but it's coming along okay. Made a lot of adjustments from the original sketch to get a better likeness. Any advice on rendering teeth would be much appreciated.

Looking good.Somebody told me to not have a full line between the centre teeth and shade/tint them and then add white highlight, so they don't look like uniform piano keys (unless you want them to)
